Mind Training and Meditation E-Vam Institute is pleased to present His Holiness Pakchok Rinpoche for the first time this summer. His Holiness will teach from his new book on mind training and meditation over the weekend.
His Holiness is the 6th Phakchok Rinpoche, the supreme head of the Taklung Kagyu lineage, one of the eight subdivisions of the Dakpo Kagyu tradition. The son of Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche and grandson of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Phakchok Rinpoche is the director and spiritual representative of the Chokgyur Lingpa Foundation.

10-day Retreat
Traleg Rinpoche has spent many years studying Western pychotherapeutic approaches to mind and has played an innovative role in the dialogue between Buddhist theory and practice and Western psychological thought over the past 20 years. This course is the culmination of Rinpoche's own thinking on this subject and will present Rinpoche's insights into Western and Eastern points of view and the meeting point between ancient and modern perspectives about mind.

Chod Teaching Lama Tsering Wangdu will give a special one-day teaching on Chod at E-Vam Institute, Manhattan. The day will include teachings and instruction in the practice of Chod. Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche has agreed to translate for Lama Tsering Wangdu to present these profound teachings in English.

Lama Tsering Wangdu is a holder of the lineages of Chod and the Shije teaching of Padampa Sangye. His years of living the traditional lifestyle of a wandering yogi in modern-day Tibet and his depth of experience in acetic Buddhist practices promise to make this teaching a rare and excellent opportunity for anyone interested in Chod.
